Just For You

Hi crafters!  This is another one of my personal favourite cards.  I just love the silver and dusty rose colour combo.  I started by putting together a background of just silver shine card with a mat of vintage silver card.  I cut a wide strip of coconut white card and matted it with vintage silver card and added foam to raise it. I cut the Sumatra die in white to use as the centre of the focal element.  Next,  I cut the Rose Oval twice in dusty rose card and once in silver shine card. I tucked the sides of the Sumatra die into the centres of the Rose Ovals on either side then cut the silver one in half and added the ends of it behind, but just peeking out of the pink Rose Ovals.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval centre from the Indonesian tags.  I cut another in dusty rose and cut it in half to use as a shadow.  I seated the sentiment on the actual tag shape cut out of Vintage Silver card.  I added flatback pearls as accents, then finished with matching mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Missing You

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a nice easy square card to share with you today.  I started by cutting the Indonesian Background out of black card.  I backed it with Papyrus card, cut the centre out and added foam to the back.  I cut the smaller die in the background out of Papyrus card and added a black backing to it.  I seated the frame over it, giving the centre a recessed look.  I stamped my sentiment and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  Using the inner cutting dies from the Sumatra, I cut a black frame.  I peeled the backing paper off of the sticky adhesive sheet, added the frame, then coated the exposed adhesive with Diamond Sprinkles.  I seated this in the centre of the card on foam.  Using the Sweet William die set, I create three different sized flowers using the water scrunch technique.  I seated the largest on a thin satin ribbon bow in the lower corner.  Flat back pearls were added to the corners and matching mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7" in size.

Christmas Double Day

Hello bloggers!  It is that time again!  The Friday Christmas double days!  I know it is still July, but I have so many Christmas card samples to share with you this year, that I need to get started so I can get them all in.  I have decided to start with a double bill of the 2017  Christmas Angel die.  I really love the way she came out and I'm quite proud to show her off!  This first sample is quite lavish and totally over the top, but I liked it too.  I started by covering a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and covered the page with Summer Meadow Gilding Flakes.  I used the Twinkle Star Background to cut the stars out of it and backed it with a piece of black gloss card.  I did put a few of the stars back into place behind the sentiment to help make it a bit more readable though.  I used the Double Pierced Noble Squares to make a thin black frame that I added with foam.  I cut the Merry & Bright out of black gloss card and glued it into the upper corner.  I cut the angel out of gold mirror card and added her to the left side of the card.  Poinsettias were cut in three different sizes out of gold mirror card and arranged on opposite corners with Berry boughs cut from black card.  White, gold mirror card and black mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two is actually my personal favourite angel card.  I started by cutting the Garland Edger on both sides of the card.  I cut two more out of black card and used them as shadows behind the white ones before adding a piece of vintage gold card behind them both.  For the focal element, I cut a multi layer frame using the dies from both the Noelle Frame and the Holy Lattice Frame.  I cut the Twinkle Star Background out of white card and added a black backing to it, then seated the frame over it and trimmed away the excess around the edges.  I added that to the centre of the card and cut the Merry & Bright to go in the middle of it.  I cut the Christmas Angel out of Vintage Gold card and added her with foam to the side of the frame. Two poinsettias were added to the opposite corner made from the Poinsettia Additions die set.   White, black and vintage Gold card mats and layers were added to complete the card.  Finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

You Are The Best

Start with a piece of coconut white card  and emboss it with the Sm. Beaded Fanfare Pinpoint Embossing folder for texture.  Cut a piece of Aqua card on the diagonal to encompass the lower corner area of the card and tape or glue on top.  Cut a thin strip of Blush pink card and attach it across the join area.  Cut a double strip of white pearls down the centre and use on line of pearls and add it to the pink border.  Stamp the Chrysanthemum Bouquet Stamp To Die For stamp in Black Archival ink and cut it out with the matching Bermuda die set.  Using Distress markers, colour the outer portion of the stamp using your choice of colours.    Stamp it again on coconut card and cut out just the inside section.  Colour this section as desired.   This stamped image was coloured with Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Peacock Feathers, Forest Moss and Mustard Seed. Add mounting foam and layer on top of the previously stamped and cut out image.  Stamp your sentiment from the Sweet Wishes Sentiment set by Creative Expressions and cut it out with the inside of the Atlantic Ocean tag die.  Mount with foam in the open area of the stamped image.  Add mounting foam to the back and attach to the centre of the card.  Cut several butterflies from the Cascading Butterfly die set out of blush card and add to the card as accents.  Complete the card with a paper pierced white mat, a thin blush mat, a thin aqua mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi crafters!  Today's card offering is a lovely wisteria and white number with a tiny bit of black as an accent.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Peony Diamond die to cut the shapes into both the left and right side of the card, with a little overlap in the centre.  I used the Indonesian border decorative die to cut the top and bottom  edges of the card too.  I backed it with wisteria card and added flatback pearls to the die cut areas.   Cut the Peony Diamond again but in wisteria card.  Add mounting foam to the back and attach in the centre of the card, covering the overlap area.  Cut the inside of the die white and glue into place on top of the die.  Stamp your sentiment in black in the centre.  I tied a messy bow with the mauve seam binding and added it to the left of the card.  Add a black crystal sparkler in the centre and two matching stick pins as accents.  The card was completed with white, black and wisteria mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  Leave a comment to be included in the drawing  to win this one!  All for now, Sue x
